I'm still stuck in "Old Stuff" mode! I love these recipes! Does anyone remember this recipe???
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour (sifted before measuring)
1 heaping tsp soda
pinch of salt
4 tbsp cocoa
1 cup water
1 tsp vanilla
Cream the mayonnaise and sugar. Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with water while beating with mixer on low speed, or by hand. Cook in 2 greased layer pans at 350 degrees for 25 or 30 minutes.
This recipe is dated May 9, 1953.
