Did you do that? It could be why they didn't get done. Dried beans need a lot of water to get them soft. I'm going to try your recipe using cooked navy beans and see what happens.Cece's Creationzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08244245546190236284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1566125984594933227.post-49860131585375352042014-08-05T07:49:56.256-07:002014-08-05T07:49:56.256-07:00Hi Lynn, I have been cooking baked beans for years...Hi Lynn, I have been cooking baked beans for years, and have found a few tricks. I use my great grandmothers old bean pot, no salt until the beans go in the pot as salt will toughen them. Soak the beans overnight in boiling water to start. Drain but reserve water, add onion, raw bacon cut up ,beans and rest of ing. fill pot up with reserved water. Cook in your oven with a drip tray under them, (LOL) . Place lid on cook at 300 deg. for at least 4 hrs. Add water if they start to go dry. Remove lid the last hr. or so. I know they require a little babysitting , but they are worth it.Nana Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03890711644405037375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1566125984594933227.post-44073533258837685462014-08-03T16:39:28.994-07:002014-08-03T16:39:28.994-07:00They sound delicious!
